Welcome to the OCDSB Extended Day Program

What is the Extended Day Program (EDP)?
The EDP is a Ministry of Education licensed before and after school program offering care for your
child at their registered school. Registered Early Child Educators and Early Learning Assistants lead
this program and offer a variety of activities based on children’s interest and the opportunity to
learn through play. Your child will be in familiar surroundings with staff and friends they have been
with during the day.

What are the hours of operations:
The Extended Day Program operates from 7:00 a.m. to the start of school and from the end of
school until 6:00 p.m. Parents may register their child for the morning, afternoon, or for both. The
program will run on all instructional teaching days and be available for select professional activity
days.

You will also have the option to register for non-instructional days (PA days, select days at the Winter, March Break) may be available and will be done by separate registration. Typically during the Winter and March Break reduced locations across the district are selected and will run based if we reach sufficient registration.

How do I register?
Parents and caregivers will be required to Apply to EDP by clicking on the Apply Now icon via the
OCDSB website, OCDSB-Extended Day Program, OCDSB > Parent Portal > Extended Day Program
(EDP) > Apply Now
