Our Community

The meetings are used as a means of keeping the community informed of John Young planning fundraising activities and giving feedback to administration. Speakers are invited to the school to provide topical information. JYSC runs a number of fundraising activities to financially support extra-curricular and various school activities. JYSC supports arts performances, cultural events, various school programs, regular food days, physical education equipment, playground improvement, science & technology resources and books for classrooms and the library. JYSC provided financial and organizational support to help set up the primary borrow-a-book program, the teacher resource library, and they have assisted with the funding of agendas and workbooks to enhance learning for our students.
