Thank you for visiting the John Young ES website! We are now closed for the summer but you can register all summer long at the OCDSB Administration Building at 133 Greenbank Road.

Please call the Admissions Department at 613-596-8730 to make an appointment. Please bring your child’s proof of age and address, and health card to register.

If English is not your first language, you are new to Canada, returning from abroad or from a French language school board, please call our Family Reception Centre at 613-239-2416 to make an appointment.

School Bus & Pedestrian Safety Day - Sunday, August 25, 2019

Sunday, August 25th at Holy Trinity Catholic HS, the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority will be holding a pedestrian and school bus safety workshop from 9am to 1pm. If you plan on attending please register at www.ottawaschoolbus.ca. This a great workshop for students riding the bus or walking to school for the first time.

Programs at the Hazeldean library

At the Hazeldean Branch we registered almost 800 children for the TD Summer Reading Club and over the summer, they reported reading over 10,000 books. Some of the children also attended programs this summer to feed their passions in reading, writing, science, innovation, art and lots more. The Ottawa Public Library offers free programs all year round. Here are some of the programs happening this fall at the Hazeldean Branch.
